It’s pretty simple, really. Start with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, then just add flavor. We’re pretty sure you can’t go wrong with this recipe. Still, whether you’re looking for an introduction to Trinity Groves’s patios or are ready to take the master class, let’s share notes.
Start from First Principles
We get the word “poke” from the Hawaiian, meaning “to section” or “to slice.” But, with one bite of this seasoned raw fish salad, you’ll find it’s Japanese that’s on the tip of your tongue. Sushi Bayashi speaks in simple dishes and traditional methods. In fact, you might have a new tradition of your own when you set up for the evening with the poke & rosé — we hear it’s the talk of the town.
At Beto & Son, Chef Julian’s margaritas and Latin cocktails will have you saying “Salud!” Kick things off with the Queso Fundido’s marriage of melty cheese and spicy chorizo, then maybe take the Tequila of the Month Rita out for a spin. It’s always made with the sweet and sour of agave nectar and fresh lime juice, but a new ultra premium tequila solos every month.
Mix it Up
When the founders of LUCK (Local Urban Craft Kitchen) started work on defining their “dream restaurant,” they knew one thing for certain — it should provide a hangout where friends and family alike can savor each other’s company. LUCK is certainly the spot to get to know your local beers, but don’t forget that, on any given Sunday, you can also meet up for brunch with the folks you like to keep close. Maybe you already have a hunch who’s going to order the Pozole and who can’t resist the Bread Pudding French Toast.
V-Eats Modern Vegan is a perfect place to sit a spell and sip away. Order up the Cactus Pear Lemonade or the Strawberry Hibiscus Iced Tea and enjoy the clink of ice cubes as you take your time perusing the menu. The Beggars Purse will tide you over with spinach, smoked potato, and mushroom phyllo until it’s time to get brisk with some House Made Gelato.
Get On Up
Take your patio game to a whole new level and let the Saint Rocco’s elevator lift you up where you belong: to Rocco’s Rooftop and one of the best views in the city. It’s drinks and appetizers and skyline from there on out, plus misters to keep you cool. Your new cloud nine is waiting Thursday, Friday, and Saturday after 5 p.m. — or anytime if you up the ante and book a private event.
We hope you’re ready now to write your own guide to advanced patio-ing at Trinity Groves. Even better than telling, though, is showing. We love Instagram, and we love it when you tag your #TrinityGroves memories.
